can someone help me,i sent the letter asking for 6yr of statements with 10 pound cheque,had a reply straight away saying that ithas been passed onto their customer relations team,and they assure me that they will be giving it their ammediate attention,they given me a complaint number to quote when contacting them reguarding my complaint,
WITH THE HALIFAX,HAS ANYONE HAD SIMILAR LETTER AND WHAT DID YOU DO ,THANKS

PS,THEY SENT THE CHEQUE BACK TO ME SO I NOT SURE TO DO,OR JUST WAIT,I DIDNT RECIEVE STATEMENTS EITHER.

You wait up to the 40 days for them to fulfill the request. Come back if you haven't received anything then.

I agree with Nickmack. It's just a kneejerk reaction on their part - they know what's coming.

I sent an email to Morgan Stanley telling them to close my cc account because I thought the interest rate hike was scandalous. They sent me a letter in the post telling me they were taking my complaint very seriously and would respond within 28 days!! They are treating all complaints with kid gloves now I think.

It sounds like they've waived the fee. You've offered payment and they've not required it. You just need to wait now.
