  • Thanks for the plug, TimmyT!

Given that it has to be done quickly, meaning that the case would need to have priority over others I would need to charge a premium rate, I'm afraid. I suspect most solicitors would do so.

As a retired conveyancing solicitor I believe the information given in the post to be useful assuming any properties concerned are in England/Wales but I accept no liability for it.

Well, I have gone for a couple of repo's recently and both times I went with an EA referred solicitor. They both offered a "no move no fee" deal which is necessary for this type of purchase as there is a high risk of it falling through, and not just because of a better offer.

On the second occassion the service from the solicitor was exceptional, though perhaps the service would not have been so wonderful were it not referred by the EA so they are willing to take the good with the bad.

Thanks for your reply: could you give me rough estimate/quote as to how much the premium rate would be?

You will need to find my website (can't advertise here - but Googling usually works) and request a quote giving as much detail as possible.

Use qualified, Solicitor or Legal Executive - no, not a Licensed Conveyancer, good grief.

It was a Lexcel accredited, high street practice.
