Business bank account declined for fair credit rating.

Options
Hi this is a bit of an always one but hope someone can help! I am starting up a business with an old employer who lives and owns company in Australia. I am bringing the comPany to the uk and we will be 50% share holders. It's a limited company.

He was over before Easter and we tried to opens business account with HSBC it got rejected. We are not asking to borrow any money. I was suprised and checked my credit file. I have 2 defaults for small amounts which are 5.5 years old and a ccj which is 5.5years old. All have been satisfied. I have since these not missed a payment on anything. My credit score is fair and not far off good. It is 848 points. I have spoken to a business manager at Barclays who said I would be able to speak to the companies and have them removed but they said they could not before 6 years.

What I need is an account to deposit money with someone who can open an account for the company whilst my business partner is in OZ. I am going to be the only signee. Can anyone recommend something to me?

Thanks
