You also appear to have Rapport installed which has been known to cause issues (and isn't required for internet banking security from what I've seen on here).
If you don't use it, I'd remove it.

As it takes you several minutes to load up window xp which is definately a long time, should be closer to at max 2min mine used to take 1min 20sec. I would say its time to use the "recovery disc" to take it back to factory fresh and reinstall the programs you use most. Then creating a new backup using the inbuilt backup for your make of PC.
or even using Todo backup and creating a image of the drive.

waddler, can't seem to copy/paste your entry. Found it through start, all programs and have now uninstalled it.
rmg1, think I've already uninstalled Rapport.
Andy, where do I get a recovery disc from?
Also, would like to back up what's on my PC I'm a Virginmedia customer but don't have to faintest how to do it. Could someone do me an idiot guide please.

Thanks for all your advice so far.
  • Also, notice in task manager microsoft office 2003 onenote starts every time. Just opened it and it's asking me to register but I've no idea where the disc is. Should I uninstall this too?

Thanks Closed. Opened msconfig and selected the startup tab. Not sure what lots of them are so nervous about disabling the wrong things! Have unticked the obvious ones like apple and musicmatch. Going to restart my computer now and hope I haven't done something very stupid.

Restarted and a message came up saying
"The system configeration utility is currently in Diagnostic or selective start up mode. Choose the normal start up mode on the general tab to start windows normally and undo the changes you made using the system configeration utility". So I selected normal start up and it undid my changes. Did this message come up because I'd unticked something important or should I have ignored the message?
