  • Thank you MiT and HAW Xx

DH has been more 'normal' today (normal for him anyway!). He's had an episode of 'chewing' whereby his mouth moves involuntarily which freaked me a bit as it usually means a seizure, but nothing so far. I've got everything crossed on that score!

Missed a phone call from MP's office this morning while I was in the shower! Said they would call back but they haven't. Will call them tomorrow.

Did the personality test courtesy of Buffy

    I'm ENFJ which seems pretty spot on;

    Strengths
    Charismatic :o
    Altruistic
    Tolerant
    Reliable
    Skilled imitator

    Weaknesses
    Too selfless
    Idealistic
    Too sensitive
    Vulnerable to criticism
    Fluctuating self esteem.

    Lots to think about!!

  • We know you are nice, theres no need for a test about it.

Hope you get the boring day you are so looking forward to!!
    Trying to shift that debt!
  • Aw Bless you SBO, what a nice thing to say!

Not had a boring day but it was a good day. This morning I went to a Mum-from-school's house for tea and birthday cake for another Mum. The birthday girl doesn't have any family and last year she only got 3 birthday cards, so we all made a pact to spoil her. She writes poetry so I gave her a nice notebook to jot down her ideas and some chocolates. It was a lovely morning.

Tonight I went to fat class but I've stayed the same :(. Then I went to a meeting for Beaver Leaders and I've not been home long.

Will catch up on diaries tmw, shattered now. Hope everyone is ok Xx

Staying the same is okay, as you already know this is a pattern with you, especially when you have had a stressful weekend. Next week you will have a reduction I'm sure.

I think the results of that test summed you up quite well but agree with SBO, we didn't need a test to know just how lovely and selfless you are, it shines in your posts

  • Hope you have an amazing first week this week MiT. I'm not so sure you can lose the whole 3 and a half stones in one go though .

    Thank you Granny :A.

So I still haven't heard back from the Support Group Appeal, the complaint with the Work Programme people, the MP's office, or the Gas and Electric complaint .

Did hear back from the free boiler application I made though, and we don't qualify unless DH is put in the support group, so I have to call back if the appeal is successful. Typically, woke up to a funny smell coming from the fire (which the boiler is behind) and a load of charcoal on the hearth . It's like it heard me talking about replacing it so it decided to give us all monoxide poisoning !! Will need to get it looked at but it pains me to do so when it might be replaced soon. What a waste of cash :(. (Though not if it saves lives obviously!!)

DH was at the dentist this morning but the appointments were running late and I had to leave him there alone while I went to collect DS2 from nursery. I was panicked the whole time despite the receptionist saying she'd look after him. It just made me realise how 'unwell' he still is and it made me sad. It all went fine though and I got back to find him still there waiting after his appointment was over.

  • Well I have been saved (yet again!) by my Knight in shining armour (aka DH's best friend!). He called in after work to look at the fire/boiler and confirmed it was spewing carbon monoxide because it was clogged up :eek:. He has cleaned it all up for me and only took cake and coffee as payment. Don't know what we'd do without him! Xx

Please get it checked by someone who is properly gas trained!

also buy an audible alarm to use where there is any gas appliance.

i don't want to scare, but with poorly working things that could produce carbon monoxide you life is worth more than saving a few quid. Carbon Monoxide kills.
