When I asked for luck I didn't mean the bad variety!!!

These colds must be doing their rounds as my DD is full of it as well. However she is 26 so doesn't get the sympathy that your little ones do!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Granny we know you are beautiful on the inside and I'm willing to bet you are on the outside too! Must agree with DFW though, I imagined you smaller! Probably because my wee Granny was exactly that, 4"11!!
DFW, I hear you on the walking tissue thing! DS2 uses me the same way! Bless him though he still hasn't developed the full blown cold, he just has an annoying (to him!) little sniffle and a sore red nose. I hope all the children get better soon (regardless of age SA!).
Today has been a dvd day for the boys and DH. I got a call from my boss asking me to do a slightly earlier shift as they were desperately thin on the ground for staff. So thin it turned out, that I was practically it . Cue 3 hours of hell. Anyway, it's done for another week. I did need some shopping after work so it hasn't been a NSD, but in terms of the boys entertainment it's been a free day.
Cancer Run tomorrow. Hope it stops raining by then! The car park is actually a field. That'll be fun!Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Hope the weather stays lovely for you tomorrow for the run :j0

Thank you DFW and Stripes!
Well the weather almost held for the Cancer Run! Light rain on occasions but at least it was nothing like the torrential downpour we had all day yesterday. The downside to yesterdays weather however, was the huge mudpit that formed 50% of the run. As DH said, a canoe would have been better than trainers!! Another negative was the £5 I spent on rides to keep DS1 entertained while we waited for his Daddy and brother to cross the finish line!
The rest of the day has been spent at home in a bid to save money. The lemon muffins I made yesterday with DS2 seem to have magically evaporated into thin air, so todays baking has consisted of cupcakes and shortbread. I'm going to try and do more home baking as I feel we are spending more and more on 'rubbish' from the supermarket and I'm keen to save wherever I can.
And I've got a really sore throatDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

And I've got a really sore throat
We've also done baking today. I said to DH that we had spent over £20 on sweets/pop/crisps/cakes/choc in 2 weeks from the shops :eek: So from now on no small shops and we can make our own cakes! I bought 2 massive bags of crisps from the shops at the beginning of the month and they lasted 2 weeksI went nuts! over 80 bags I think were eaten by the kids! So no more crisps now till next payday!
I've got a sore throat too, think it's because I forgot my hayfever tablet this morning. Hope yours goes soon and well done on finishing the race without canoes :rotfl:MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. We are the same DFW, pop to the shops to buy cakes/biscuits etc and spend a fortune while we are there! I'm hoping that by baking more I will eradicate some if not all of those little frivolous spends.
I hope your throat gets better soon. I can barely swallow. Oh, and I can't take any credit for the race, I was just the cheering squad
