Can I use a steam stripper in the same room as newly fitted plaster board?

We have just had new plaster boards fitted in all of the upstairs rooms and we need to use a steam stripper to remove a load of wallpaper in these rooms. The board went up today and we want to do the stripping this weekend. It is being finished (plastered) Monday.
Will the steam affect the board or make it difficult to plaster the ceilings come Monday?

hi there,
i'd be inclined to risk it, have the windows open a little. i mean whats the worst that can happen, the finishing plaster will be pretty damp when it goes on won't it!!!
have fun stripping:oPlease note, we've had to remove your signature because it was sh*te!0 -
Thanks

The plasterer didn't seem to know if it would cause any damage...Thanks to everyone who posts comps, I love winning prizes big and small

don't get me wrong, i'm just a diyer, but if you ventilate the rooms & don't allow it to get too bad!! eg condensation is running down the walls!!!! then i can't see there being an issue.
if i was really worried then i would strip one room, then go back shortly after & check what the plaster board feels like compared to the 'dry' plaster board in the other rooms.
always happy to help within the bounds of my knowledge;)Please note, we've had to remove your signature because it was sh*te!0 -
Yeah, I think I'll do a bit and then just check to make sure there is no damage.

I've not got a problem with a stripper in any of my rooms....so I think you'll be fine too!0
