can anyone help me with this query please....i keep reading that if you are claiming LHA your landlord does not need to know as it will be paid directly to claimant etc.....however i got a form today and there is a great section at the back to be filled in by the landlord?? its like a landlord declaration? how can this be if the landlord does not need to know??...
i keep reading and rereading and wondering if its just to be filled in if i want the payment to go directly to him?...i was hoping just to send form away with a copy of the rental agreement...
also, when i looked at the form online, i see i cant find this section on the online version of the form...maybe its an old form?
any info would be welcome:)

I think the LL only usually has to sign something if the payment is coming directly to them.
Is the form you've got the same form as the one you can download from the direct.gov website?

thanks, no its slightly different, i managed to finally get through to the benefits office and they said he would only have to fill it in and sign it if i dont have a tenancy agreement, which i will be getting any day now, so that solves that problem:) thanks...totally a tog!:D0
