Complaining to Bloor Homes

Does anyone know the name and address I should send a letter to when complaining to Bloor Homes?
My partner and I have lived in our new build for less than two years and the mould in our bedroom is a disgrace!
I have taken photos of all the mould and have asked neighbours if they have suffered similar problems. Anyone have anymore tips to give my letter more clout?!

If it is black mould its most likely due to poor ventilation. Do you sleep with the window closed and dry wet clothes on the radiators? if so this is probably the cause of it not the poor construction of the house.

aarchk is right - its likely to be an occupational issue rather than a construction issue. black mould is a sign of excess moisture in the air from such things as bathing, showering, cooking, drying clothes and not opening windows etc.

Something tells me that you have the radiators in your bedrooms turned off and you fail to keep the bathroom door shut and the window open once you have had a bath or shower.
Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.

Can you post the pictures and do your neighbours have the same problem?

The only other thing to look out for is if there is a leak in the guttering. If the mould is appearing on an external wall and there is a gutter or pipe nearby then go outside when it is raining and see if the water is going down the pipe properly. Any leaks or blockages should show up in heavy rain.

The mould is easily treated. I bought a house where the owner must have had a fear of opening windows and turning the heating on. After wiping wall down with a mild bleach/water mix I got a mould treatment pack off ebay for £35, a three step treatment which eradicates and prevents mould. We sleep with the window open and I wipe down any condensation in the morning.

Also check out the webpage for sarah beeny's 'help my house is falling down', theres advice etc on there.
