This is proposed "EU legislation", but it looks very British to me......
Banning filtering on bikes? Typical British car driver queuing mentality.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

I sold my air-cooled XJR precisely because I was worried that one hot day it would blow up directly beneath my unprotected crotch.

This is a joke right? This petition been made up by some loony surely?
Only aircooled bikes cannot filter, So they must sit in the traffic and blow up due to lack of airflow?
What about classic VW's will they allowed on the road?
I might start an epetition myself, Any loony that starts a stupid epetition should be made to sit on an aircooled motorbike and filter around the M25 until it explodes and kills them. Whilst filtering they must remove any dead flies and bugs from the machine as they are modifications that are not allowed.
Sent a complaint to ban the author of the epetition.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

Why does this look 'British' to you - it reeks of 'EUSSR' interference!"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0 -

As I explained, it's the bit about banning motorcycle filtering..... Only in the UK do drivers have the queuing mentality that causes anger to be directed at bikers for "queue jumping".“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Classic VW's are as much oil cooled as air cooled. They have a fan powered by the crankshaft, which constantly blows air over an oil cooler. They happily run cooler sitting idle in traffic than they do when under load at speed.0 -
I have heard about possible restrictions concerning modifications and type approval before. If it happens for bikes it will happen for cars.
Most bikes were aircooled until recently without problems and filtering through traffic is unlikely to be banned0 -

Hardly.
When I lived in Canada, I had some really upset people due to my habit of trickling up the white line in stopped traffic. I think it is also illegal in some European countries. Switzerland springs to mind. What goes around - comes around0
