Then everyone would do it!! My month to month varies but I make enough to live and go on holiday so im happy with that.

I think posting ones earnings on a thread like that is a bit umm wrong in a way.

If I had a salaried job, I'd be ok with posting my earnings. One of the reasons that women have a lower average salary than men is the privacy that surrounds wages - women don't know they are being paid less and are less aggressive in asking for increases. It's good to know what industry norms are.

MSers, and self employed in general are competing against each other for work, so we each have a commercial interest in not disclosing specifics. (As do the companies we work for/with)
  • Off the current topic, but how is August shaping up for everybody? I'm struggling for work this month. Am signed up with about eight MS companies, but there seems to be little in my town :(

I always find August a poor month, so try to save a bit of money to use in September. Mind, part of this is that the children are off, so I want to do things with them. It doesn't help that I've had 2 massive bills this month either.
  • Same here Devils - two lots of car tax was a hit I could have done without. I had planned on paying the lot through MS fees, but a certain company underpaid me by £90 and despite ten emails, I have been told it is not possible to raise payment outside of the payroll! It must be the only company in the world where the accounts department don't know how to make a BACS payment.

I've just got a big NI bill - £600 as well as a £900 bill for work needed on my car. The family want to go away during October half term and I've no idea how I'm going to get the money together.

I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!

Yep. And they can't now pay until the end of August. Some fees date back to May. Either very poorly organised, or they are struggling....

Because its the summer holidays I have the most scope to get work done, but i was hoping I would see plenty of work at the start of the month. Oh well looks like just picking up bits and bobs.
Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk

Dunno what you lot are doing, I'm run off my feet.
