Re: the fee box for GFK I recently did a job with expenses and thought I had to increase the fee to cover this. I seem to remember reading it in the job notes but I'm not 100% sure now.
I entered the figure for fee + expenses - I guess they'll be in touch if it is wrong...0 -
The glasses are NOT destroyed they are reused.
Glad to read that! I was momentarily rather angry to think they get destroyed! Because if they can't be reused here, they are crying out for glasses in third world countries, at least that's what I've heard.
In regards to the MFing eye test visits, do you suppose it's more worthwhile to do them if you do the ones where you buy a pair and get them reimbursed? I need a new pair and that reimbursement amount would be quite nice, but not if it takes like 10 hours of work!
Always seem to miss the Tern specs work in my areaBut will second Mimi's thoughts on Becky, she's always been lovely on the few occasions we've communicated

While people accept the jobs the fees wont improve.
Only did the one in my town and I shop there as well. Put a few items through as a separate shop to claim my small fee and reimbursement.0 -

Wow. Do they do the buy and get them reimbursed visits? I must keep my eyes peeled for those. I thought the reimbursement was for the eye test and the eye photograph things?
I did an MF eye test and 3 TERN eye tests. I think it took less time to do the TERN reports than the MF one.0 -

Tern you do the eye test and buy the specs. Send the specs back, then you get the money back- you don't get to keep the specs, but the fees not bad0 -

Yeah I know. If you re-read my post you will see I did 3 of these. I was asking about the MFing ones that HD mentioned where you get reimbursed for the glasses. I was saying I had never seen these before.0 -

The MF reimbursements only cover the test fee, they won't put that reimbursement towards any frames, I asked about that a while ago.
Maybe why the Scottish ones hang around0 -
I won't do the Scottish ones on principle, as we have FREE eye tests here, getting any optician to arrange for a 'private' (ie paid-for) eye test is virtually impossible.
We then have the situation where a needless eye-test is being provided by the tax-payer to satisfy the curiosity of the optical company.0 -

thats the problem and I actually thought I would call HQ on thsi one... its unethical and illegal to use fake names etc for purpose of scaming the NHS.
Tern at least get your names dates etc of the scottish ones and forward them to the head office so they don't go through the NHS.
MF does not.0
