Well, judging by the other ignorant drivvel I've read on here from other shoppers, who appear to be supporting Market Farce in their exploitative practices of me, I am not holding my breath.
Wow! And congratulations for being too pig-headed to even admit that you might have confused people.
Due to your arrogance you have lost the support you had from me.0 -
Hello, I'm new to this forum. I couldn't help but respond to this post. You are right. MF often put up jobs that require shoppers to purchase goods and services that is not covered by the reimbursement fee offered. This is wrong, in my view. I won't take these jobs. A certain fish restaurant job I was offered was like that - great restaurant; great food; but they required two people: one starter, two main courses and one dessert and wine all for £**reimbursement. I've eaten at that restaurant and you can't even buy a meal for one: starter, main, dessert and wine without it coming to over £**quid, often more.
The only jobs I will take are ones that are in an area I am going to anyway or can cycle to involving no transport costs at all and involve purchasing a service or product that is well covered by the reimbursement fee and pays a job fee as well - usually in excess of £* - usually more. I want the fees to go toward my own bills - not to prop up some client's profits whilst they benefit from my evaluation report information.
Regarding Market Force (in fact someone asked this a while back, but I can't find the post). It was in relation to exit interviews MF have listed. DON'T DO THEM. I was stupid enough to (being a relative newcomer) and the £** fee they were offering is nowhere near the market rate for doing this kind of work, which is time intensive and tiring and they expect interviewers to spend time uploading all the survey reports electronically afterwards too - taking yet more of their time. The nearer you reach their target for interviews, as I did - hitting over 30 for one shift - not 16 that the person before me did at the same venue - the worse off you are: more tiring field work; more time uploading the reports. The going rate for this kind of work is £** per hour (more not less than the minimum wage) - not £** for what turns out to be 1.5 days work.
As it is, MF gave me hassles about the report uploading due to technical hitches beyond my control. When I told them I would only send them the paper surveys I'd collected and would not spend more time uploading them onto their system - they agreed, begrudgingly and when I asked them to confirm the £** in writing to ensure I would get the full amount of fixed fee offered still, they refused and it became clear to me that they only intended to get the paperwork and then close my account and not pay me at all. The situation is this: I have a pile of 33 surveys and won't get paid for the 7.5 hours I spent on site.
I now intend to take MF to court for non-payment.
FOR ANYONE WATCHING THIS THREAD, DON'T USE MARKET FORCE FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN OCCASIONAL MYSTERY SHOP JOBS. THEY ARE A SPITEFUL AND VINDICTIVE COMPANY.
Sorry to rant on, but I had to vent my spleen about this company after a harrowing day fighting with that !!!!! Karen Hendry. No it won't. I even sent them a copy of it -cut and pasted - and I intend to screw them for more articles too. - even naming clients if I have to. If they can breach their contact with me; I can with them too!!!
By the time I've finished with them they won't be able to show their faces in the market place again, let alone with this client.
Denny I don't know who you think you are to bowl in unannounced slagging off companies and being rude to people on here, but that aside, whether you have a gripe with MF or not, the rules of this thread quite clearly state that NO FEES TO BE DISCUSSED. Please remove them from your first post (which I have reported, and hope others will do too, so that the fees get removed). Divulging clients and/or fees on this thread could result in the entire thread being removed which would be a huge, huge shame as so many people reply on it.Wow! And congratulations for being too pig-headed to even admit that you might have confused people.

I was sympathising with you to begin with Denny, and I do still agree that MF were bad with what they expected you to do for such a low fee. However you've got really rude and nasty on this thread and when I look back over the everyone's actually been agreeing with you!
You've made your point and we all agree MF were wrong but it might be worth leaving this forum now to concentrate on your legal action.
Edit: I've just seen your response to Tractor Girl and I just feel very sorry for you.0 -
Are you now going to remove the fees from your post. You should have figured out within the first hour that the job was not going to pay minimum wage and abandoned the job rather than complete it. You cannot normally negotiate fees after the job has been completed.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Why don't you read the brief:
This was not a mystery shopping job and the same rules won't apply. I was known to the client staff when I arrived on site and this is a normal exit interview assignment.
Anyway, I'm off. I can't stand the hostility directed at me, and the rudeness that was directed at me. I came here hoping to get some support from fellow shoppers. Instead, I was just turned on by a rabid pack of dogs who take the 'dog eat dog' approach. You are probably all moles for Market Farce.
Talk about kicking someone when they are down. Well I hope you suffer the same kind of treatment. When you do, don't come bleating to me for any support.
I'm off. Good riddance to you all. What a nasty, horrid bunch you are!
Regardless of what job it was, this is a mystery shopping THREAD and the rules quite clearly specify no fees to be discussed.
Bye bye then. Wish I could say it's been nice meeting you but I'm not that good a liar. Don't let the door hit your bum on the way out. We’ve had to remove your signature. Joined this morning, first post 1.58am, 7/8 posts already, alienated almost everyone who could have supported your cause very well, instead you come in, bull in a china shop ranting and raving and now you are talking about leaving, less than 12 hours later, close the door quietly please..................thanks you."Dogs come when they are called. Cats take a message and get back to you" :j :j0

Denny, the only person who has been vicious and nasty is you. You clearly have issues or else you wouldn't come on here projecting your own aggression and bitterness onto people who have been more than civil.
You did not come on here for 'support', you came here to rant and to libel a mystery shop company that i've never seen any real complaints about (other than comments about low fees).
I've only been posting here for 2 or 3 weeks and i've not found it at all cliquey.0 -
I think you've confused people with your first post. You said "Sorry to rant on, but I had to vent my spleen about this company after a harrowing day fighting with that !!!!! Karen Hendry." which looked like you signed off the post with your name. I assume Karen Hendry works at MF and the !!!!!!!! was censored.
Knowing DP I can pretty much guarantee that he was supporting you in your rant, he just thought you were called Karen.0 -

I'm off. Good riddance to you all. What a nasty, horrid bunch you are!Oh shove off. I do recognise a tight 'no entry allowed' clique when I smell it. I suppose you have all been PMing each other and think you own this forum and the gigs available on the various shopper sites. So anyone new if a potential threat to you.
Well you must be really inadequate and insecure to end up supporting a rip off outfit than a fellow shopper who's been taken for a ride. This is not about a thread, it's about the job I was on. A mystery shopping thread is supposed to be about mystery shopping and this is not MS job -it was about a job offered by a MS company.
As for people claiming I was being supported by people on here and now I have lost thier support. I was not supported by anyone at all. Otherwise, don't you think I would have noticed? You laid into me from the off.
This nasty collectio of posts is tantamount to cyber bullying - laying into a newbie. Isn't that against the rules too?
So then why are you posting about a non-MS job on it??????????????????????????
Only one thing to do because you are getting tedious now - IGNORE button!! Aaaah I can hear the peace and quiet already. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
