Hi All

I am helping a friend who wants to buy a laptop tomorrow, so time is limited .... they want to spend around £500 , any suggestions ???

    will be general surfing, e-mail etc , no games but needs to be mobile and as "future proof" as possible at the £500 mark.

    The hard drive does not need to be massive but decent and I have read alot about Vista and the minimum memory requirement of 1GB ???

    by mobile I mean wifi enabled :-)

    What would be the best bet in your opinion ?? oh and distrusts internet shopping so needs to be bought on the high street
