selling my car but have scratch my door

İ am in the midst of selling my 1960s classic car and on removal from my garage where it has been for ages i have discovered the door has been scratched by the garage entrance pillar--it needs a complete spray over but i am wondering how much and whether better to reduce the price --or have it done and delay the sale?

I would say get a quote(s) for the work but do not get it done.
Advertise at a slightly reduced price and be up front with buyers including showing the quote(s) you have.

Your average classic car enthusiast might be in a situation where they do this sort of work themselves which is obviously cheaper for them

The car is SORN and i am not at home to get quotes-its not insured either

-a friend took the car out of the garage and did the fotos. it wasnt my him who did the damage--my BİL has owned up!!

Anyone any ideas on the price of spraying a door --it just shows the undercoat and thankfully hasnt rusted.--

if its a thin line use a color coded chipstick, why spend money on a car that youre going to sell?

On a modern car a proper respray by a professional body shop should cost you about £350 per panel (inc.VAT).

You would think that with someone with as many posts as your self would be able to give more details about things like make model type of paint and probably a photo
As you havent and therefore come into the category of asking blind questions like a typical woman who asks me who much to sort a squeak im going to give you my definitive answer

İ havent got the pics on a format to transfer on to here yet.--its a sunbeam alpine that was 'oven baked' a good few years ago now but it has been stored since then--it cherry red.--i have forgotten the coding.

I'd leave it, and sell it as it is.
You'll never get a good colour match on the red without spending a lot of money, so anyone who buys it would notice the respray anyway, and want it done again.
