Update: I have dropped a clanger with this comp as I didn't realize that John Lewis has a "wish list and a "gift list" and I have posted the wrong list my sincere apologies for this

if you have created a "wish list" you will also need to create a "gift list" to enter the comp, I will amend the OP to reflect this many thanks to sherbie #2 for the pm pointing this out

All Gift lists registered in store, online or by post, between midnight on 15 April 2012 and midnight on 30 June 2012 will be automatically entered into the free prize draw for the chance to win £1,000 in John Lewis gift vouchers.

The winning entry shall be drawn at random from all valid entries on 26 July 2012.

The winner will be notified by post or email on 16 August 2012

Only one entry per household.

just me not getting it prob, but isnt a wish list different to a gift list? i cant see how to register a wish list, but you do register a gift list. any ideas? ta.

Nothing in the terms about proof of the event or people actually buying the gifts, but do you think that would matter?

Is it one of those gift lists for wedding? Because you will be called, in that case.

i chose the voucher only option, birthday, and the no i dont want inserts option. i figured if they contact me nearer the time, i'll tell em we're rescheduling or somat. the t&c's say somat about automatically being entered into the draw, no time to check now, read it yest, but was somat like that.:)

The last time they supposedly ran this competition I kept getting calls from them asking how I would like to proceed with my gift list.

I explained that I only set it up in order to enter the competition.

After several calls over a number of weeks they said nobody had heard of such a competition.

Very strange.
