Data cable & mobile phone

I bought a data cable from ebay to connect my phone to my pc to download the photos I had taken with my phone.
The cable came with a CD which I have installed on my pc and the software seems to work ok. There weren't any instructions with it :(
The trouble is that the software just keeps searching for my phone and can't seem to find the phone.

I've e-mailed the seller, but so far have had no reply and I'm eager to get started moving my pics across.

Can anyone help please?

    Just worth a try would be to uninstall software, Re-connect phone and when wizard opens, tell it to find software and point it to your cd drive, HTH. Alan.

    It's a Panasonic VS6.

    download the handset manager from here, and see if that works

    had the same problem with my Samsung ! the software suite is utterly useless ! good luck

    I also had the same problem with my phone, on the off chance I went into Poundland and bought a data cable and would you believe it, it works perfectly now, worth trying for a £1.

    It seems to be working now. Have transferred the photos to my pc, putting an mp3 clip on to the phone as a ring tone, but it seem sto be taking forever. The computer says transfer successful but the phone is still saying "data transferring" so I'm just going to sit it out and see what happens.
