Working Tax Credit Question
Silverone
Hello,
I will soon qualify for working tax credits but I have a question regarding other income. I've never claimed any tax credits before so I'm sorry if this seems a silly question but I don't want to get it wrong!
Basically I work full time however occassionally I also draw pet portrait commissions and cartoon commissions for people. I don't earn much, say about £20-£30 extra each month this way looking back on last year. It's not a guaranteed amount, I could go for a month without earning anything, or earning more in fact. However, I was wondering how do I state this on the form to claim working tax credits? Is there a column or something similiar for additional income of this regard? I can't work out by hour how much I earn for this extra income as I don't charge by the hour.
Also last year I sold a few old things on ebay (items of clothing, etc) does this count too for what I can claim? I assumed it wouldn't, but then I assume if I sold for example art I had created on ebay that would count?
Hopefully someone can enlighten me on this issue! Thank you in advance. (And I apologise again if this seems a foolish question that I should know the answer of!!!)

Surely if you are making £20-£30 each month from the drawings you do you should be registered with HMRC as being self employed?
You (I reckon) should also be completing a yearly self assessment to declare this income?
There is a space on the tax credit claim for for you to list your income from employment and then another space for you to list any earnings from SELF employment. The loopy one has gone :j0 -
Ah that makes sense, thank you.0
