Virgin Holiday price increase overnight: help!

Hi everyone
So on Friday we found a great holiday to Orlando on 5th May for £699 (ish) and we wanted to book it. We've had to wait until today though when we could confirm our holidays at work...which we did!
So tonight we've gone to re-do the holiday but the price has gone up to over £850
We're gutted because we can't afford it now!
Is this usual and what are the chances of the price dropping again? Why does this happen; feel completely dejected

Ring them and ask if there are any extra deals, maybe explain calmly about the price increase and see if they are anything they can do to help you.
It won't harm to ask.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

I booked with Virgin last thursday £824 pp then over the weekend
it went up to £875 now today it's at £831 for exact same hotel, same week etc etc it's been like that for about the last 4 weeks or so . mind you Ba wanted £326 pp extra for the same holiday

BA is faaaar to expensive this year and flying from London which doesnt help me.
My problem is that we kinds need to stick with Virgin because their planes are really good for our needs. I suffer IBS and struggle on small planes with long toilet queues and crap service0 -
ring a few travel agents and see what prices they are getting, pick their brains as they may be able to tell you if their was a sale on that has now finishedBlessed on 18th February 2014 at 0814 with little Sarah xxx0

It's probably just a case that the £699 seats and room have been booked, so the next available seat was £150 more0
