Switching energy supplier
Hi, I am very confused to which energy supplier will be the cheapest for me, we moved to a new rented property and do not know how much gas and electric we will use.
We won`t be a high user of gas as we use the wood burner rather than put the central heating on, I am presuming we will be an average user of electric.
The property is supplied by British gas for both gas and electric, we are on the standard tariff. We were will N-Power at our previous property and if we go back with them we can still get our £100 a year dual fuel discount but they are more expensive for electric and cheaper on gas than British gas, as I mentioned earlier we will be light users of gas.
Is it viable to use one supplier for gas and another for electric even though we will not get dual fuel discount?
I did a search through simply switch and it said First Utility will be cheaper.
Help please if you can.
Many Thanks.
Darren.
