Can i claim PPI from 1997?

HI everyone, Can i just ask if it's possible to claim back PPI off a loan i had from 1997 with Midland bank (HSBC). I have just discovered the Loan agreement with all the particulars on it and it's good to go.

Only problem is the year which is 1997...??????

dozer - I am currently in the throes of trying the very same with lloyds. I didn't have the actual loan agreement, but just about everything else. I believe that there are many who have been successful so give it a go.

You have nothing to lose and everything togain.

Lots on here have won PPI mis sell with loans from the 90s, me included, send the complaint in, you only need the account number and reasons for mis sell.

If the PPI was paid back in one monthly payment with the loan payment, this is Single Premium PPI, the PPI is put on at the start of the loan and you pay this to term end with interest, this is the most upheld of all reclaims.

It's old, but having supporting paperwork is a distinct advantage.;)
    Good luck!
