MOT labour charge

I had my car MOT'd on Saturday and it passed. I was charged £25 labour thou, is this right? He did come and get my car and bring it back to me although I was happy to bring it in I just didn't get the choice.

Looks like you have paid £25 for collection and delivery.

What do you mean "I just didn't get the choice"?

You could've said no, couldn't you?

They can't charge any more than the VOSA MoT fee for actually doing it, assuming the £25 labour was on top of that I would guess it was for the collection and delivery. It sounds unlikely that any test centre would only offer that as a way of getting the vehicle there, maybe you misunderstood what was available. You can query the charge with them but I think you'll end up having to pay it, although I guess they won't be getting your business next year.

Sorry its late long day, did you pay £25 for the Mot and he just came and collected it? If so bargain! Some main dealer can charge £58. Or did you pay for the Mot and £25 on top?

You booked it in for an MOT why did you not have the choice of taking it in yourself and saving £25?

I imagine some people would be happy to pay £25 rather than lose time off work to take it in and wait or pick it up later.
