Has my PC been hacked?

Had a phone call recently on my home phone and saying that out pc has been sending malicious files to microsoft blah blah and they hung up when we pressed them for their company name and phone number. I posted about this on another thread a few minutes ago. then I had a call on my personal mobile from a number that said "blocked". Thinking this was strange I went onto the microsoft page and it asked for our product id etc. but the id that came with our copy of vista is apparently "not from this country". Also the product key in the system details on control panel doesnt match the one on my windows vista box. So somehow its been changed. Also i've noticed for the last week or so, windows update wont run and it keeps telling me that windows encounted an unknown error code 80070490.
I'm just starting to freak out a bit now. someone please help

It's doubtful you've been hacked.
The product key won't match if it's an OEM computer (Dell, HP etc).
For the update problem, visit this page and run the MS FixIt.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/958044
See if it resolves the update problem and you're able to update.0 -

We can run some quick & simple checks for malware if you'd like.
Download DDS from the link below and save it to your desktop:
Link
After you've downloaded it and saved it to your desktop:- Double click DDS to run it.
- When it's finished, DDS will open two logs:
- DDS.txt
- Attach.txt
Copy & paste the contents of just DDS.txt for now and post it here (you may need to split the log over separate posts)0 -
