It probably can be replaced, but I doubt if it would be worth it as it might cost more than buying a new TV."I'm not even supposed to be here today."0

Zagu's right, it's such a major component that when you figure in repair labour it usually is far more economical to buy a new tv. Well you can use it as an excuse to anyway

thank you for your replies- i was worried that may be the answer. Are the CRT TV the ones that are going to be useless once the signal is turned off?Keeley x0

Assuming we're talking analogue/digital regarding the cut off question, if you are buying a new TV you're probably should either make sure it's Digital or be prepared to buy a digi box.0

Any CRT TV with a SCART will work just fine once analogue is switched off, as long as you have a £20 digital box plugged into it.
I bought an immaculate, 6-year-old 20" TV on eBay for £10 - far less than you could possibly repair a TV for.Debt at highest: September 2003 - £26,350
Debt now: £14,100
Debt free day: October 2008 :beer:0
