Npower sign online 22

Hi,
We started on Npower sign online 22 in June last year for our first gas provider since buying our first home.
I noticed on our recent bill it says this tariff expires in July this year, what would this mean for us would we then be transferred to the standard tariff?
I've taken the two bills we have were I've submitted readings on the same date every month and on average we use 232kw of electricity and 750 for gas (thats an average over the 10 months, winter and summer).
When I've put these results into a comparison site it shows we'd pay more no matter who we go to.
Any advice on what we should do?
Thanks
EDIT: I've just had another look and it says on the 3rd July I switch to their standard online account. It also says that If I switch before this date I have to pay £20 per energy type to move so when should I begin a switch if I find a cheaper tariff than the standard? Thanks

NPower will send you a letter with the details of what they are moving you too and the tarrifs about a month before you expire. DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
So when that letter comes through I can switch or do I have to wait until the 3rd July then begin the switch? Thanks0

They will do it to an estimate of last billed reading so consider how your meter reading compares and what a increased price would mean to that.:rotfl: It's better to live 1 year as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm...but then, whoever heard of a wormskin rug!!!:rotfl:0

Remember after 12 direct debits you receive £100 for gas/electric [part this for one supply] cash in bank so if you leave before 12 debits you will lose this On your last day of your current tariff 3rd July go on comparison site to see which is best [at the moment its go fix 11 with npwer] if its still available ring them to put you on it avoids going on standard tariff and a few weeks later direct into the bank will be your £100 cash bonus after your twelth direct debit [part this for one supply]0
