Can I ask please, how do you stop them from sprouting as I'd love to know.
I can only buy 3 or 4 at a time, and I mean 3 or 4 potatoes not Kg's as they sprout so quickly. Thats if I'm going to use them within 2-3 days.
I keep them in our dry, dark, frost free enclosed entry in a cardboard box, with brown paper over the top.
Our seed potatoes chitted by themselves in the same environment.0 -
Try keeping them in a garage or outhouse instead in the original potato sack. They do like the cold and dark.:hello:0

If it is frost free it may be too warm for them. Is there a radiator nearby? Lakeland makes a special cotton potato bag which keeps mine for ages in a kitchen cupboard even though I thought the kitchen would be too warm. Turn regularly to let them breathe also.If you think reality makes sense, you're just not paying attention!0 -
