Hi all,
Just a quickie, do you think paying £6.70 for a 2.5kg of spuds is a good deal? This is from the local fram shop that I have just discovered.
Thanks as always
MM

Are they organic? If not - terrible price. You can get a whole sack, ie 55lbs here for less than that.:hello:0

Hi
Didn't say organic on board so I guess not.
Thanks0 -
You sure it wasn't for 25kg? It would be a really good price for 25kg!

2 1/2 KG or 25kg? I hope its the latter!!!!!
2 1/2 KG is 5 1/2 lbs which in a reasonable shop shouldnt be more than £1 - £2 depending on type of spuds."On behalf of teachers, I'd like to dedicate this award to Michael Gove and I mean dedicate in the Anglo Saxon sense which means insert roughly into the anus of." My hero, Mr Steer.0 -
I know that where I work (M&S), we are currently selling Maris Piper bags at 2 for £3. Each bag is 1.5kg. I particularly remember this as I didn't know if that was a reasonable price to pay or not. The same potatoes made fabulous roasties when I got them on reduced a while ago so I was tempted to buy them anyway even if the price wasn't that great.0

Just been to the farm shop - £5 for 25kg Maris Piper (great for roasties). We are using a sack we bought a couple of weeks ago.
Am I cheapest so far?

I think it's closer to £7 a sack here, tend not to buy a sack as nowhere to store them and don't use a huge amount.
(If that's for 25kg it's not too bad, if it's 2.5 leave them!)One day I might be more organised...........
