Not sure I'd call the East Grinstead rail service a fast one though !!!!

Haha i moved from Whyteleafe to Sanderstead, I agree Whyteleafe and Warlingham are both nice areas. Whyteleafe has a lovely Tapas restaurant as well

Also another area i looked at when moving which i really liked was Oxted.
Doesn't Whyteleafe also boast a primary school with its own swimming pool?Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

We're in Tadworth which is nearer to Epsom - no direct trains to Gatwick but it's about 15 mins via M23 and 20 mins through Reigate. Trains to London take about 45 mins each way.

Thank you all for the great advice and suggestions! All taken onboard and I'll definitely explore the areas you suggested :-)
It might sound silly but as a born and bred city girl (I have always lived right at the center of big cities) I'm trying to find a compromise btw my bf's desire to have a house with big garden for our future kids and my fear of living "in the middle of nowhere". Somwhere that still has a bit of London's feel but also quick access to countryside seems like the best option to start :-)
thank you again!0
