Healthcare 'bank staff' - Self Employment?

Hi there,
I'm currently attempting to figure out whether I was mis-sold PPI. I took out a loan with Lloyds TSB in 2008 when I was a full-time student. When I took it I was also employed as 'bank staff' within the NHS. Basically, this means I have no contracted hours and work on a casual basis. As such, I had no sick pay etc. In sum, I wasn't in permenant or contracted employment for 16hrs + a week.
Is this mis-selling? Any advice would be apreciated as I haven't seen a case like mine before, in terms of employment status.
Thanks!

I dont think you were self-employed. Bank staff are not self-employed (as far as im aware)
If you were bank staff you have a good case, as you usually need to be in permanent full time employment. You worked on a as and when basis making the PPI unsuitable.0 -
Yes, the OP wasn't self-employed, but basically had casual employment for which his/her policy would not have paid out for during periods of unemployment.I dont think you were self-employed. Bank staff are not self-employed (as far as im aware)

Thanks for the replies folks!
Okay cool, so not classed as self-employed but still unsuitable due to its casual basis. Right then, best I get this letter tapped out to Lloyds TSB!
I'll be using the MSE template for the letter but any advice on how I should word the part where I say why I believe it was mis-sold?0 -

Do you know if the PPI was included in the loan monthly payment? if it was then this is single premium PPI and is on the loan to term end with interest, this is the most upheld of all PPI reclaims.0
