If you right-click the volume icon (in your system tray by the clock) and then select Recording Devices, does your Microphone show up there?

Sometimes a windows update or audio driver update can reset everything and you need to "set as default" again whichever microphone you want to use. On my pc I have an inbuilt microphone on my webcam but I choose to use the microphone on my headset so set my soundcard as default device.

Hi No not when i right click but when i left click it says my speakers are 28% and Realtek family controller disconnected what ever that is. I ve always used the inbuilt mic and is usually fine. I have had some development since trying to fix it but it sjust as bad as all i get now is a loud high pitched noise and my small voice in the distance.
