Recommended restaurants in Tisiivi/Zante?

Am heading there in August for ten lovely hot nights - half board so we can frequent the local restaurants.

Are there any that are particularily nice?

Been going to Zante for many years but not to Tsilivi, we go to Alykanas.

We love Tsilivi, some fantastic restaurants, our favourites being........

Menir's
Dionisos (The one behind the main street, not on it)
La Dolce Vita
Koukos (Does a Greek night once a week with entertainment included)

I'd definetly make a point of visiting Menir's though, one of our favourite restaurants anywhere we have been.

We really enjoyed our week in Tsilivi about 3 years ago. We made a slight error though by booking last minute, well about 2 weeks in advance, for October half term. Turned out this was the last week of the season and the majority of the bars and restaurants had closed for the winter. We really enjoyed Zante though, it's a lovely Island and we have been back twice since, to different resorts.

As to your question, the only restaurant name I remember was "Sweet Dreams" (I think). Doesn't sound very Greek I know but it was lovely!

Can't add any restaurants but just wanted to say that we're going to Tsilivi in Aug/Sept this year too, first time to Tsilivi but 4th to Zante!

I don't think we're ever had a bad meal at a restaurant in Zante, greek food is delicious and fairly cheap!!

Love the island and hoping Tsilivi will be just as good as the other resorts.

It's almost 4 years since we were last in Tsilivi but Menhir stands out in our memory.

IIRC, it's down the road from the Mediteranee Hotel towards the beach, on the rigtht hand side.
It's in the part of Tsilivi that is the furthest from Zante Town.

We discovered it at lunchtime (we like long lunches) and had some wonderful food there.
We usually ordered a plate of olives, wine and 2 or 3 starters.
I think in 2 weeks we worked our way through the menu.

We went once at night but it was busier and (imho) the food was not so good.

I'm a big fan of menhir's too:) Lovely food, lovely staff and it is not very expensive. We didn't eat at any other restaurant after finding this one:)

Brilliant - cant wait to go -im all about eating at locals restaurants - thats why i couldnt bear to go all inclusive! ~
Looking forward to a nice beef stifado!

Would second Dionisos looks like a shed from the outside but fdrinks that is what you get and the mesood is reasonably priced and excellent quality. The best bar by far is Friends bar, they also do food mainly pizzas and the like, we never ate in there but many excellent nights drinking if you want international brands that is what you get and the measures grow as the bar staff get to know you
