Question about Insurance and License Points

I've noticed that most insurers including comparison sites, ask about motoring convictions in the past 5 years. I had a TS10 that was valid for 4 years. It expired earlier this month.
When renewing in June, will I need to declare this conviction again even though it has expired? If so, is this likely to affect my premium?
Thanks,

You need to accurately answer the question asked. If they state 5 years then you need to declare it if it was 4 years ago that you were convicted.0

The points may have expired, but the conviction does not become spent until 5 years.
Points expiring and spent convictions are two completely different matters.0 -
A quick google shows this: http://www.lawontheweb.co.uk/Road_Traffic_Law/Rehabiliation_of_Offenders_Act which states fines remain "unspent" for 5 years for those over 18 years old.
After this time you do not have to declare them to anyone unless the requester has an exemption (eg: if you apply to be a police officer).
Licence points count as a conviction due to this law:
Road Traffic Act 1991 s77
http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1991/40/section/34/enacted(7)Where the counterpart of a person’s licence is endorsed under this section he shall be treated for the purposes of sections 13(4), 28, 29 and 45 of this Act and of the [1974 c. 53.] Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 as if—
(a)he had been convicted of the offence,
(b)the endorsement had been made in pursuance of an order made on his conviction by a court under section 44 of this Act, and
(c)the particulars of the offence endorsed by virtue of subsection (5)(a) above were particulars of his conviction of that offence. We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
