I think lilac being a cool colour it would go better with silver than gold.

I think lilac and gold does go but I agree with the person above, I think it goes better with silver. For our engagement meal we have purple and silver balloons and table decorations and I have to say it did look lovely.

This is what I was going to say, until I saw you'd already got both lilac and gold in your wedding so I decided not to say it!

I think it will go fine. It all sounds very pretty!

I think it could look gorgeous - I just think you have to keep the gold to little touches rather than full on! Perhaps avoid the gold balloons - too much, but you fould use very pretty gold lace, ribbon for them? I would opt for a more 'old gold' if you can?

Maybe some old gold tea lights, that kind of thing? Think pretty, faded colours rather than full on bright?

When is your wedding? Just so we can suggest some ideas for your fishbowls.

Lilac and silver does look nie, but a little cool with iveory for a wedding. The gold will warm it up a treat.

My wedding colours are Lilac and Ivory and I think it looks very good. I think if you add gold, you should only do small amounts

  • Lilac and peach yes. Gold is a little rich to go with a pastel perhaps?

Lol you just totally reminded me, here I am posting that I don't think gold and lilac will go and then I realised that that is basically the colour scheme of my living room! (all from Laura Ashley which is why your link reminded me) Doh stupid daisie!
