When is it the best time to be a used car?

Sales people usually have monthly & quarterly targets so you might get a slightly better deal then if business has been slow.0

I've been looking for the right deal on a year-old car from a showroom while (over 2 years), but there hasn't been a glut of the kind of vehicle I am interested since I started looking, and I certainly haven't come anywhere near to negotiating the price I want to pay.
In the meantime, I have saved thousands by not motoring, although I do miss it and family have been happy to lend me their vehicles when I've been in genuine need. I'd love to know if there's a right time to snap up a bargain from a showroom, sadly I think it's a thing of the past.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!
