Tax credits help

Hi there, just wondered if anyone can help explain this to me, it might sound complicated, here i go.
Right I'm currently in my last 3 months of unpaid maternity leave I'm due back on May 14th, for the past 9 months i have been getting £104.50 a week maternity allowance and my partner earns around £23000 a year so these are the figures i gave tax credits they based my award on these, i currently get £234 a month tax credits. So anyway for this years award do i base it on what i will earn this year as it will be more that last years ? as i said i start work in may but i will be leaving in September to start back at college, well I'm hoping this will be the case i have my interview in May, i will earn £100 a week up until then. my partner received his p60 and he earned £24,500, so what do i tell tax credits ? do i explain that i will be working till September then i leave for college?
Hope I'm making sense
Tia
