But I think the controversy is not whether you can protect your NCB upon transferring it (you can) but whether the new company you switch to in the year following your claim will recognise the level of NCB that you previously had.Debt at highest: September 2003 - £26,350 :eek:

The new company always asks for proof of NCB to be sent to them in the form of renewal from previous insurance company, which shows the number of years NCB.Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0 -

Hmmmm I must say that all the co's I spoke to at renewal in Nov, not one of them had a problem with protecting hubbys NCB after my fault claim last year and I spoke to at least 30 co's. We don't do online quotes as I find talking to them can get you a better deal
Maybe its a new thing co's are doing so we motorists don't get such a good deal

Ours just says "maximum" no percentage no X number of years - with More Than.0
