    Yes, Dogshome, I wasn't aware residential were being put on Deemed rates on a Deemed contract, but in business its the default "out of contract" rate.

    OP, based on what Dogshome says, I wonder if the landlord was on the bill paying business rates but as you moved in they forgot to change it to residential rates.

    Out of interest with usage that high is your VAT set at 20% and you have been charged Climate Change Levy (CCL)? If so, they have you set up as a business.
