Chaep family holiday in UK

Hi
Can anyone recommend a cheap family holiday in UK? (2 adults and 3 year old twins - almost 4 years).
We haven't got a lot of money to spend this year and would be quite happy with a caravan for a week, but we don't know anyone with one and haven't a clue where to start!
I would want to be sure where we are staying is clean if you know what I mean - just because it is cheap, I don't want it to be dirty (we had a bad experience a couple of years ago with a cheap holiday and the place was filthy. We came home after 1 night!!)
Thanks
Donna

Donna,
Get a copy of 'Daltons Weekly' from your newsagent, there are loads of caravan holidays advertised in it. Or have a look on their website.0 -
Hi weve just booked a 4 night stay at a park resort in clacton. They have them all around the country.
We have paid £153 for the 4 nights for the silver caravan. This is going during the easter school holiday.
A bargain i thought. So weve made 4 of our friends come with us as well.:rotfl:0 -
We are going to Devon for a week with Haven in september for the grand total of £1, thanks to tesco vouchers!
We go with Haven every year, but mainly use it as a base as I can't say that we particularly like the evening or even day time entertainment. i have thought about looking into renting one of the privately owned caravans on some of these park sites as opposed to going through an agent, I suppose that would be cheaper.0 -
We have been to the same caravan site for the past two years and we are going again this year - Surfbay Holiday Park at Westward Ho! in North Devon. Really close to the beach and all facilities -and really clean and friendly. Even in the height of summer in July August you can get a caravan for £310 for the four of you for a week. It is tons cheaper if you can go out of school hols of course but have a look and check it out - I can heartily recommend it.

We know what happens to people who stay in the middle of the road. They get run over.

Don't see the point anymore in offering advice to people who only want to be agreed with...0 -
Since your children won't be at f-time school yet, I'd go out of school holiday times so it's cheaper.0

Hi Donna
I've been with Park Resorts a couple of times at different sites and have always found their caravans to be very clean.....cleaner than Haven in fact...they are less busy than Haven but at least there is a playground and swimming pool onsite which is free, so that makes things a bit cheaper.Autism Mum Survival Kit: Duct tape, Polyfilla, WD40, Batteries (lots of),various chargers, vats of coffee, bacon & wine.0 -
have u ever thought about camping?a few years ago i was proper skint,so i went out and bought a second hand tent, collected pots n pans n stuff at car boot,,used to go to a site in blackpool which was like 10 pounds for the weekend and then went to a haven park in wales that was five pounds per night to out of season, its well worth thinking about, you can get a few holidays for the priceof one when u go camping, and also its exciting for the kids too. It`s getting to the point0

I can recommend Bunn Leisure in Selsey! Entertainment is included in the price although the beach is shingle. It's a nice place with a life boat station and a small town.

We got a free membership to Paramount Holiday Pass somehow last year (normally about £99 or something), and booked a week in Honicombe Manor in Devon for just over £200 (a 3-bed lodge-type place). Normal price for that time of year (end August) was £1500!0
