Humax going into standby ?

I have a Humax hdr-fox t2 and even though the settings are set to off for energy saving and auto power down it still seems to be putting it's self into standby anyway?
The screen is blank and I have to press the on/off button on the remote to put it back on.
Any idea why it would do this and how to stop it?
