Inchcape retail online car site. Should I buy from them or not?

Am looking at buying a car online, paying a deposit and then the balance when it is delivered. I won't actually see the car until it is delivered to my house. Just wondered if anyone else has done this and what are the risks.

Inchcape are a very big company, they trade online under the Broadspeed site and also AutoBytel. No worries about buying a car from them just make sure you are getting the best price. There are quite a few Internet brokers which offer delivery free of charge and you pay the dealer direct. What car are you getting?
  • Looking at buying a mondeo. I thought delivery was included, better check that.

Inchcape are fine. Bought a car for my partner a while back from a VW main dealer which was part of inchcape and got a fantastic deal. Really happy, and the service has been good to.

I would say do not buy a 'current' model Mondeo. I think they have stopped building them now in preparation for the new model which arrives in the summer. If you are tempted make sure you get a HUGE discount because it will lose value at an alarming rate. Better to buy a year old current model, there will be many bargains to be had. Which model are you looking for?
