black sparkly tiles, what colour grout?

as it says in the title really. I am getting black floor tiles laid, similar to these

http://www.tilesporcelain.co.uk/quartz-tiles/black-quartz-tiles.php

what colour grout would look best? I don't want white so am thinking grey or black. Would the darkest possible shade look best? What about glittery grout - or would that be overkill?

Obviously I realise it's all down to taste but would be interested to hear opinions, especially from anyone who has the same or similar tiles or from tilers who have laid them.

its all down to personal preference really, I like the contrast between dark tiles and white grout, really defines the tiles for me.

I would say sparkly grout would be a bit much (didnt realise you could get this)

your choice really, your the one who has to look at it every day.

sorry if this isnt the answer you wanted :(

we have black gloss procelain tiles in our bathroom with black glitter grout, looks nice but done it to blend in with the glitter tiles on the feature wall.
if you do go giltter dont but the glitter grout, the charge a bomb.
we had normal grout and added the grout glitter we got sep.
Grout colours i wouldnt touch grey with black as tthe greys tend to be pale, either got white, black or anthracite.
    the black will lighten also.

Done quite a few of these and anthracite or black are best IMHO. If you go for black buy Bal Microban as this stays black for longer. Also I would buy a spray can of grout sealant as this will stop it staining and helps to prevent fading when you wash the tiles over. Additionally, never use any product containing bleach. Stardrops is my recommended product of choice for cleaning tiles.

    Good luck

I have just finished a kitchen with a black quartz sparkly floor and have used Ebony Grout. Looks really smart and I can send you some pics if you PM me.

White is a non starter on the floor and will discolour in about 30 seconds. I think grey would be wishy washy against a black tile.

  • I would try a glittery grout, they look amazing.

Why are you suddenly commenting on a post that is nearly a year old?
