I think I know what you mean. I change daily and shower daily so no problem there. Since reading on this forum I use Mitchum as others have said. It seems to last for ages as well.

I feel for you. I know when I was pregnant suddenly my usual deodorants just suddenly stopped being effective and I was mortified! I found a sure spray worked much better than my usual one (nivea roll on) - all went back to normal after giving birth though.

Based on my experience above, I would get checked out by the dr in case there's an underlying problem (hormone levels or something) that's caused this to happen. It's probably absolutely nothing, but just for peace of mind.

I am female, and I do wash my clothes regularly.

I am guessing it is not down to that as it only seems to be certain deodorants that stink, rather than me being smelly all the time!

Oh, I am painting such a lovely image of myself!!

I would guess then if its only certain deoderants its something within the deoderant. RE the Sure version, how long ago was it that you were able to get hold of it? Maybe if you have any details we can see if there is anything they brought out which is similar as they have been known to re-package older scents.

Dove also have an 'invisiible protection' version which could be worth a look if its worked for you in the past?

Otherwise as you've said your washing fine and your clothes are cleaned (and washed on 40? -just saying this because I go to the gym quite often and sweat quite a lot. My clothes will not smell fresh unless I wash them on 40 yet I'd far prefer to wsh on 30 if I could).

The only other thing I thought to mention or ask is if your feeling more stressed or if your noticing this more when your closer to your period or on your period as at times I know we can give off certain ...scents as a result.

And last but not least, if you can, ask a friend or someone close if they think you smell bad (note- not everyone will be brave enough to be honest so may not always be possible!) it could be something your smelling which others cannot detect.

I am about to try the crystal deo...it's natural and has no alluminium or anything to bloch pores. I used to use mitchum as it is brill (only once a week!) But not sure for me it was good long term. I have had to do a lot of research about this as have HS (sweat glands that get blocked really badly) and have been on various HS and skincell sites.
I have no idea how much it costs tho...I will be finding out tomorrow.
As 4 reacting badly to some,I used to wrk in cosmetics and some people react very badly to some perfumes...it's not you,it's just you don't like some ingredient in the three that don't suit. Is there a common ingredient?...so you could avoid it in future?

U can get the crystal one in boots.
,As far as I can tell from their website that's the only store in this country.
Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I found the garnier minerals one smelled horrid on me too! I thought i was very odd! I used to swear by powder fresh mitchum, but that also started to smell unpleasant to me.

I sweat very lightly and really only 'need' a deoderant half the month now that i am very inactive, something to do with hormones making me sweat more i guess at certain points in cycle,, but wear one every day anyway, and i too am finding the smell issue with the deoderant. I am glad its not just me!

I find the sanex brand quite good these days, and dove.

    Thanks for all the replies.

I think I will give Mitchum a try as it seems to have a lot of recommendations. I do love Lush products so might also treat myself to some of that next time I go in there.

I have asked some of my friends to have a sniff, and they have said that they can't smell anything, although I can't be sure they were being honest!

Which lush deodorant bar do you recommend? I use mitchum at the moment which lasts ages, I use the unscented one as the powder fresh one is lovely but is really strong smelling and gets on my clothes..

I really like the garnier mineral ones, though I agree, cocoa scented stuff smells off when on my skin - I love palmers cocoa butter but only use it occasionally cos the smell changes to something strange quite quickly..

The crystal deodorant Ive also tried, I think its better for light-medium sweat days though as if you are sweating heavily, i think the salt just kind of washes off and then you are left 'unprotected' so to speak..

I think unscented deodorants might be your best bet!

Do you use spray, roll-on or stick? Some may smell more than others and the different formulas, ingredients and textures may be part of the problem! I prefer stick but there is hardly any choice which is so unfair for consumers!! Anyway, in the stick format I use Mitchum at the moment.. the unperfumed one! I know there is a powder fresh on as well though. Lasts all day!
