As people have pointed out here with some beautiful "holiday camps" times are a changing and some places are set in spectacular areas very chilled out without the hi-de-hi image set back in the seventees . Often gyms saunas pools salons etc with lots or little to do by choice. hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0

Just got back from five days at a place called Silvertrees in Staffordshire. Would really recommend it as it is a small, site in a conservation area so nice and quiet. Only amenities available are pool which you can hire just for your group by the hour and a tennis court free of charge. Deer roam on the site quite freely and are delightful to watch. Everyone keeps to themselves apart from the usual mornings and hellos. Staff are great.0

Stayed here many years ago in the detached cottage next to the lighthouse and it was the best UK holiday I've had. Pool was very nice, although only available summer.

Have a look at https://www.holidaycotts.co.uk
properties 99 to 102 in Tosside near Settle in Yorkshire. It is a few converted farm cottages with access to a pool, games room, football field. It is a lovely peaceful place without crowds. I have stayed here a few times and often had the pool to ourselves.0 -

im sure they are but with an asd teen to consider the noise from a site like haven etc is too much for her to cope with. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
