Mint card balance transfer

I've just been what I consider dupped. I went for a mint credit card because of the fantastically attractive length of 0% interest (til August 2008) but have been caught by the fee which added 2.9% of the balance transfered onto my bill! Be warned - these offers are riddled with catches and I feel a fool for adding almost £300 onto my already substantial outstanding balance.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to reverse/improve my situation please?

Not sure how you can say you've been "duped". The 2.9% fee is mentioned on the same page as the offer. As you will see on most of these forums, the introduction of these fees is making stoozing less profitable, and in some cases, not worthwhile.

You certainly haven't been duped at all. The fee for the BT is there in plain sight. The offer is not 'riddled with catches' either, the only basic thing you need to do is set up a direct debit to pay the minimum every month and you won't be 'caught out' by anything. You agreed to the T&Cs when you signed up, the choice you took of not reading them (even when this one was on the front page of the website in plain view and would have been on any letters you received as well) is no-one else's fault and the situation is not one that you can alter.
  • I guess we all have to be more careful! Always read the terms carefuly. but thanks for the warning! Its just a reminder that we have to take extra care of our finances in this dog-eat-dog world ;)

I took out this offer - i thought the BT charge was still a saving considering how much more i was paying on my current card. Capital one and barclaycard wont be getting any more interest from me!!!
