Hiya all
Went on my PC this morning and the neither the mouse or the keyboard work, changed batteries on both, still nothing, just the log in screen.
It is an Acer Aspirel3600
2gb ram intel core duo cpu 2.60ghz
32 bit
Operating vista home premium.
Have not used it for a while as use my lap top mainly, but have to have the PC on if I want to print from my lap top(even though it is wireless)
Any ideas, the router is fine all the lights on and my ISP said no problem at their end.?

Assuming the mouse and keyboard are wireless, and you have changed the batteries then they probably need to be reset ....check any instructions you have for them with regard to "pairing" or resetting the connection to the PC.
Failing that, borrow a wired keyboard/mouse and see if they work.
To print in the meantime - any reason you can't just connect the printer to your laptop and print direct from there ?0 -
Router and ISP have nothing to do with keyboard and mouse operation.
As you've already replaced the batteries, the other things to check are:- that the mouse and keyboard are connecting to the receiver (look for a 'connect' button on the underside of mouse and keyboard)
- that the receiver is plugged in fully
- That the power lead to the receiver (if it has one) is connected and switched on
If none of the above cure your problem, post back with make and model numbers of mouse and keyboard. How do I add a signature?0 -
mouse is acer mg-0570T model, light keeps flickering, have pressed the connect button but the light is not on permanently, the keyboard is acer kg- 0570 not showing any light on.
Any other info you need?You live..You learn.:)0 -

No not really, I was using my LAP top for gaming but my daughter needed something printing off, otherwise I would not have known anything was wrong with my PC connectors.
I cannot find instructions for 'pairing' the equipmentYou live..You learn.:)0 -
Thanks for your time people but it is now sorted.
I had forgotten that I had removed the USB memory card from the PC to use the slot for something else and forgot to put it back.
All is working ok now.
Thanks again.You live..You learn.:)0 -
