    Yes, chase up the referees. Lots of them are hopeless but they know that part of their job is writing references and they ought to be kept to it.

    So my refers are finally in and they want to confirm a start date! No idea how it works for internal positions so I asked my ward manager and she is going to get back to me talking about annual leave and training etc. Thought everything would just transfer over.

    So I gave my 4 weeks notice and have a leaving date but still no start date! Well I'm assuming it's 18th June but not given any times etc.
