Well maybe it's overpriced or the rent is too low or a combination of both. We can get a higher return on the properties where I am looking...for under £100k.

Good luck though - hope it works out for you. I wish you could buy it somehow.

I am not convinced that you have been that lucky with the rent, although you have certainly had good value for money! There are a couple of pages on Rightmove of 3 bed properties within 5 miles of Spalding available to rent at under £600/month. Mostly, quite nice looking places, too.

There are 250 3 bed properties on the market to sell for under £160k, ie lower than your LL's asking price. So, it's not obvious that your landlord is going to sell all that quickly at that price.

Some homes are simply not a good letting proposition from a landlord's point of view, I'm afraid.

I think you may be ok as it's not leaping off the page as a good investment and so there wont be a queue of buyers

Thanks guys, appreciate your time and input, the ones that are on there too around Spalding are of course for townies lol and usually come with a smallish garden, as you say it depends on what people want. Spalding is now overun with foreigners, whether thats right to say or not its true due to so many places to work around here ie landworkers/factories etc, Eventhough it may take a while to sell i will still have to find something else sharpish as even if its on the market say 6 months i would still have to find somewhere to go then, plus im not sure how long it takes for a mortgage etc to go through, suppose if its a cash buyer it can be quick and sometimes with a chain it can take ages,,,, sadly i cant find anything i like right now :(

Thank you Loop, kind of you to say so, the pictures dont do it justice either as there are 3 bedrooms all quite decent size, it makes the living room look little but its 17ft and a good width along with another utility room inside and one outside and a conservatory..... sad times :(
