Lol, surely your not being serious.
The majority of thefts are from opportunist thieves.
"Oh I can't be arsed to walk home, oh look there's a bike
let's take it"
The fact that the bike was found a short distance away
backs up that it was the work of an opportunist.
Somebody is hardly going to follow the op home, come up
with a master plan to return later and then dump said bike
after.
I do wonder in what kind of world some posters live, maybe
they should ask the nice nurse to up their dosage..
Bike theft is a VERY big business and it's run by VERY unsavoury characters of largely eastern European origins, with a network of thieves up and down the country and a network of buyers all across Europe.
Bikes are easy money, some are worth more than the average car, they can be stolen with relative ease, no alarms, no immobilisers, no tracking devices.
Electric bikes are expensive and popular, most will cost you £1000+, a stolen bike would sell on within a few hours.
Opportunists don't come tooled up for a theft.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
