I just dont get these people who use a coin star machine. They're a rip off and surely half the fun of having saved your small change is counting it? By the way I find if you go to the business banking queue there's never a problem changing coins to notes.

I used to work for a bank and get customers that wanted change. They never had the right amount in their coin bags! The coppers have £1 worth of coins. Weighed them - 97p, £1.01, 99p, £1.02 etc.

I used a load of change at a self service machine in Asda once, and an assistant watched, then kept doing those silly fake coughs where you pretend to cover up saying something - and kept saying "press pay with card"

My store actually encourages people to use their self scan tills rather than the coin star machines.
