Mobiles.co.uk owe me money!

Got a new contract through mobiles.co.uk, with £130 auto cashback on 15/2. The website says the following:

Automatic cashback is a promotion from Mobiles.co.uk, where payment is automatically processed 14 days following the delivery of your phone, which allows time for any phone returns. Payment will be a cheque sent directly from our parent company The Carphone Warehouse. After being processed, receipt of the cheque will take a maximum of 28 days which allows time for it to be raised, printed and posted to you.


It has now been two months and guess what? No cheque! Emailed their customer services as I refuse to phone their 0870 number which will cost me a fortune. They say they aim to reply within 24 hours. It has now been two working days and no reply. I should have taken a free gift as opposed to cashback but I figured I needed the money more than I needed a new portable TV.


I just want the money they promised me! Nothing else. And they won't even reply to a simple query asking if it had been processed yet.

Hello,

I'm surprised at this - I have got my cashback cheques quite quickly. Have you emailed: Cashback@mobiles.co.uk - even though they say they do not monitor email addresses - I got a reply from the 'Email response Team' within a day or two.

You could always call the CW switchboard and be asked to put through (Switchboard 9-5 M-F).

Check out: https://www.saynoto0870.com - if you refuse to call their 0870 number. Do bear in mind that since 2009/2010; Mobiles.co.uk has actually had to pay for the call, as it's now free to call with most BT landlines. What you need to watch out for are: 0844/0871/090.
Calling an 0870 number can actually be cheaper than calling a geographical number.
The 'Target' response time is 24 hours for sales and two working days for CS and around 3-5 working days for cashback.

Note: I have no connections with Mobiles.Co.Uk - but I have three contracts through them

Eventually got an email back saying that my cheque will be with me in approx 28 days. Only six weeks late then...
